This year’s epic muddy fundraiser at Nuclear Races has raised more than £12,000 for local families affected by childhood cancer.

Around 100 participants, including several Gold families, took part in the 2k obstacle course. They swung across muddy ponds, crawled through tunnels, balanced on lily‑pad pontoons and tackled rope ladders and climbing walls, all before finishing with the famous ‘Death Slide’ into a lake.

A huge thank you to every epic participant, especially those Gold families who took part because they wanted to ‘pay it forward’ to other families under our wing. It means the world to us to see our Gold community come together.

Our slogan is ‘We Fly Together’, inspired by geese who lift each other and never leave anyone behind.

That’s what we aim to do at Gold Geese. We show up, stick close, and support families through childhood cancer every step of the way.

Nuclear Races is such a fun, supportive event and means we can be there for every family facing childhood cancer across Mid and South Essex.

The funds raised will help provide tailored practical, emotional and bereavement support to families across Mid and South Essex.
