Workplace giving is a simple, powerful way to support Gold Geese, connect with your team and strengthen your workplace’s social impact. Here are some ideas:
Payroll Giving
You donate to Gold Geese straight from your salary before tax is deducted, giving immediate tax relief on your donations. This means it costs you less to give more!
If you pay the basic 20% tax rate, for every £1 that you earn, 20p is paid in tax.
That means
• if you pledge £10 a month, Gold Geese receives the full amount but only £8 will be deducted from your net pay.
• If you pay income tax at the higher rate of 40%, you can pledge £10 a month and only £6 will be deducted from your net pay
• And at the highest tax rate of 45%, only £5.50 would be deducted.
Anyone who pays UK tax through PAYE (pay as you earn) can set up payroll giving.
Visit the Government’s Payroll Giving page to find out more or set up your donation.
Staff Fundraising Ideas
Bring your team together with fun fundraising activities such as bake sales, dress-down days, sponsored walks, office quizzes, raffles, celebrating milestones, or fitness challenges. Every event helps raise vital funds and boosts team spirit.
Charity of the Year
Nominate or choose Gold Geese as your workplace’s Charity of the Year and unite your colleagues behind a shared cause. We can support you with fundraising ideas, awareness days, volunteering opportunities, and updates on the impact of your support.
