A huge thank you to Southend Funeral Directors S. Stibbards and Sons who chose Gold Geese as their 2026 Charity of the Year and earlier this month held a golf day fundraiser.
50 golfers braved the heatwave to take part at the event held at Rayleigh Golf Club and raised an amazing £6,000.

Their generous donation means we can be there for every family in Mid and South Essex affected by childhood cancer.
Managing Director, Martin Stibbard, said:
“We were incredibly proud to support Gold Geese through our charity golf day, raising more than £6,000 for this wonderful organisation. It was a fantastic day filled with smiles, generosity and a real sense of community, and we are extremely grateful to everyone who took part, donated or helped make the event such a success.”
“Gold Geese was chosen as our Charity of the Year because its work has personally touched the lives of some of our staff. We have seen first-hand the vital difference the charity makes by supporting local children and young people affected by childhood cancer, as well as their families during incredibly difficult times. Their compassion, dedication and practical support are invaluable, and we are honoured to help them continue this important work.”
We’re a tiny charity but the difference we make is big, and we wouldn’t be here without the generosity and commitment of our supporters.
If your workplace chooses a Charity of the Year we’d love to be considered.
