September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
And we aim to turn our community GOLD to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms.
This year we’ve got a bumper number of events and ways you can get involved!
Will you join us?
Turn your school, workplace or shop window gold. Encourage people to wear yellow or gold and put up our awareness poster. Share our awareness campaign posts on your socials.

- 5th September: yellow and gold car convoy
- 6th September: launch of the Leigh-on-Sea Gold Geese beer
- 12th September: Gold Marina at the Leigh Regatta

5th September – the return of our epic yellow and gold car convoy!
We start at Highland Boulevard in Leigh-on-Sea, travel along Southend seafront and end at Shoeburyness Common. Here’s our route map.
If you have a yellow or gold car and would like to join us please get in touch so we can share information for drivers.

6th September – launch of the Leigh-on-Sea Gold Geese beer!
Our friends at LOS Brewery have worked with some of our Gold parents to make a special, limited edition Gold Geese beer.
Our launch party is 1pm – 7pm. We’ve got live music, a pop-up food truck, live DJs, singers, bands and a few surprises….
This is a ticketed event at at Leigh-on-Sea Brewery, 35 Progress Road, Leigh-on-Sea, SS0 5PR. Buy your tickets here.
12th September – Leigh Regatta Gold Marina
At Leigh Regatta we’ll have a family fun day including sports day games, bubbles, pop up pizza, DJ with a kids’ set, Smiffy’s ice cream and offerings from Drift Cafe. Our new exclusive Gold Geese beer will also be available.
10am – 4pm, High Street, Leigh-On-Sea Essex SS9 2ES
Free event – donations welcome.
26th September – Legra Tap x Gold Geese closing party
Another fun packed evening of live entertainment and another chance to drink our Gold Geese beer!
Time: tbc, along with ticket information.
