Jack, Matt, gold shorts and mud – Gold Geese comes to the Maldon Mud Run!

We were at the Maldon Mud Run for the first time on Sunday, did you see us?

We were so stoked to be joined by Jack and Matt, who decided to take on the challenge to raise money for Gold Geese after we helped Jack’s family.

Jack told us:

“The Maldon Mud Run was great fun but absolutely brutal! We’ll definitely be back next year though. We did it because we wanted to take on a challenge to raise money for Gold Geese after they helped our family.

“After Amber’s treatment Gold Geese organised a weekend in London, which gave Amber and her sister Lyla some well-deserved fun and quality time together. They have also helped us cover physiotherapy costs for Amber as she learns how to walk again. Their help and support is simply invaluable. This charity is helping families through the very worst of times and we all need to get behind them.”

Having Jack and Matt scrambling through the mud in Gold shorts, glittery beards and big smiles has meant the world to us.

We want to offer tailored support to every one of our Gold families facing childhood cancer. When a family return their support, like Jack and Matt have done, it reassures us that we are getting it right as a charity.

Have they inspired you to fundraise for Gold Geese too? We’ve got some ideas here, or get in touch with our fundraising managers Mel and Emma at [email protected].
