A big thank you to the staff and students at Southend High School for Boys’ bee club for their bee-rilliant fundraising efforts!
They are selling jars of honey from the school’s very own hives to raise vital funds for Gold Geese.
The fifty jars of honey will be sold for £10 each at the school.
Elaine Tyler, food technology teacher at Southend High School for Boys, explains why the school chose to support the charity:
“I chose Gold Geese with the school due to the support we had when cancer affected our family. The school were aware of the support and wanted to help. We felt we wanted to give back in some small way to help Gold Geese continue their work supporting families affected by childhood cancer.”
Thank you to Southend High School for Boys’ bee club and to the lovely Tyler family for choosing to fundraise for Gold Geese after their experience through childhood cancer. We’re really happy that they felt supported by our charity.
We’re here for every local family facing childhood cancer, and rely on community donations like this to fund our vital work.
