This year over 40 families and local children currently undergoing cancer treatment will come together for a magical Christmas party at The Boundary at Garons Park.
Children who have a compromised immune system can’t attend public grottos, so this is a special event with a safe environment just for them and their families.
We’re going all out with a candy cane theme this year. Plus live reindeer, Father Christmas, elves and presents generously donated by the Dunelm Christmas Tree Appeal.
And we gift each family a £500 John Lewis voucher to help towards the cost of Christmas, food shopping, uniforms and more.
We’ve also arranged a wreath-making event at the Leigh-on-Sea Florist for our bereaved families.
We’ll help them personalise their wreaths to their child’s favourite hobbies, animals and colours, to help honour their memory at this difficult time of year.
